Most itineraries online are written by people who visited once. I live here. This is how I'd actually plan 7 days in Ayia Napa β€” the classics mixed with spots most tourists never find. Message me on WhatsApp to tailor it to your group.

1
Day One
Arrive, Orient, First Swim
✈️

Keep it simple. You've just arrived β€” don't try to cram everything in.

  • Arrive Larnaca Airport β†’ taxi to Ayia Napa (45–60 mins, ~€50). Check in, freshen up.
  • Afternoon: Walk to Nissi Beach β€” hire a sun lounger, first swim, get your bearings.
  • Evening: Stroll the main strip, pick a taverna for meze. Easy night.
πŸ’‘ Tip: Agree your taxi price before getting in, or message me and I'll sort your transfer.
πŸš• Transfer ~€50πŸ– Loungers ~€10/pp🍽 Dinner ~€25/pp
2
Day Two
Boat Trip Day
β›΅

Do the boat trip early β€” it's one of the best experiences here and gives you a different perspective of the coastline.

  • 10am: Depart Ayia Napa Harbour. Best options: Black Pearl (families/groups, lunch inc.), Blue Lagoon Cruise (best scenery), Fantasy Boat Party (open bar, groups).
  • On board: Swim stops at Blue Lagoon and Konnos Bay, sea caves views, Cypriot lunch.
  • Back by 3pm. Rest, shower.
  • Evening: Monastery square area β€” great local restaurants away from the tourist strip.
πŸ’‘ Tip: Book the day before in peak season β€” boats sell out fast. Message me for the best one for your group.
β›΅ Cruise €35–€60/pp🍽 Lunch included

Day Three
Buggy Day β€” Explore the Island
πŸ›Ί

Rent a buggy and explore. Total freedom, incredible scenery, and places no bus will take you.

  • Morning: Pick up buggy β†’ straight to Cape Greco National Park. Walk the sea cave trail β€” the views are extraordinary and it's completely free.
  • Late morning: Drive to Konnos Bay β€” sheltered, turquoise, brilliant for snorkelling.
  • Afternoon: Continue to Protaras β€” lunch at Fig Tree Bay, couple of hours on the beach.
  • Evening: Drive back through the inland villages β€” beautiful landscape, zero tourists.
πŸ’‘ Tip: A 4-seater buggy for 4 people works out much cheaper than individual quads. Message me for the best local price.
πŸ›Ί Buggy €60–€100/day🏞 Cape Greco free🍽 Lunch ~€20/pp
4
Day Four
Waterworld β€” Full Day Out
πŸ’¦

Dedicate a full day to Europe's largest themed waterpark. You need at least 6 hours to do it justice.

  • Arrive at 10am β€” hit the intense rides first before queues build (Abyss, speed slides).
  • Midday: Wave pool and lazy river. Grab food from the park restaurants.
  • Afternoon: Work through the rest. Kids love Aphrodite's Bath area.
  • Before leaving: Visit Customer Service for your 2nd day voucher β€” free return in Apr/May/Sep/Oct, 50% off in summer.
πŸ’‘ Tip: I can get you tickets for €45 adult β€” €5 cheaper than the gate price (€50). Fast entry Gate 4. Message me to book.
πŸ’¦ €45/pp via AlexπŸ” Food ~€12/ppπŸš• Taxi ~€10

Day Five
Protaras Day Trip + Sunset
πŸŒ…

A relaxed day in Protaras β€” only 15 minutes away but a completely different atmosphere. This is the day to book the Shirley Valentine boat trip β€” private family boat with Captain Doros, departs from Pernera Harbour, Blue Lagoon and turtle spotting included. 4.9 stars, 192 reviews. €400 for the whole boat β€” split it with your group.

  • Morning: Taxi to Fig Tree Bay. Arrive early β€” the water is stunning before the crowds. Swim, snorkel, relax.
  • Lunch: Seafront restaurant near Fig Tree Bay. Fresh fish is excellent here.
  • Afternoon: Walk up to Profitis Elias chapel β€” hilltop views of the coast, 10-minute walk, completely free.
  • Evening: Sunset from the cape, then taxi back to Ayia Napa for dinner.
  • Night: First big night out on the Ayia Napa strip if you haven't already.
πŸ’‘ Tip: Fig Tree Bay gets packed by 11am in July/August. Arrive by 9:30am for the best spot.
πŸš• Taxi ~€15β›ͺ Chapel free🐟 Lunch ~€25/pp

Day Six
Nightlife Day β€” Ayia Napa Proper
πŸŽ‰

If you haven't gone all-in on the nightlife yet, tonight's the night.

  • Morning: Lazy beach day at Makronissos Beach β€” quieter than Nissi, excellent snorkelling.
  • Afternoon: Pre-drinks at the hotel, get ready slowly. Dinner around 8pm β€” eat well first.
  • From midnight: Bars on the main strip from 9pm, clubs fill from midnight. Castle Club is the biggest; also rooftop bars and beach clubs worth exploring.
πŸ’‘ Tip: Don't pay walk-in prices at the door. Message me β€” I can often sort reduced entry or guestlist.
πŸ– Makronissos free🍽 Dinner ~€25/ppπŸŽ‰ Night out €40–€80/pp

Day Seven
Secret Spots & Departure
πŸ—ΊοΈ

Last day β€” discover at least one thing most tourists never see before you go.

  • Morning: Sea Caves of Cape Greco on foot β€” natural arch and cave formations on the eastern tip. Incredible for photos, completely free, most tourists miss it entirely.
  • Mid-morning: Ayia Napa Monastery β€” 16th century Venetian monastery in the town centre. Free entry, strangely peaceful given what surrounds it.
  • Lunch: Last Cypriot meal β€” halloumi, souvlaki, cold Keo beer. Perfect send-off.
  • Afternoon: Airport transfer. Allow 60–75 minutes in peak season.
πŸ’‘ Tip: The sea caves are best at sunrise or late afternoon when the light hits the water. Need a return transfer? Message me.
