What's at Waterworld?
Waterworld is the largest themed water park in Europe, built around an ancient Greek mythology theme. It has over 20 rides and attractions spread across a massive site. Here's what to expect:
- Abyss — the most intense ride, a near-vertical drop in total darkness
- Poseidon's Wave Pool — huge wave pool, great for all ages
- Lazy River — long winding ride for a relaxed float around the park
- Aphrodite's Bath — family-friendly area with gentler slides
- Children's areas — dedicated zones for young children with smaller slides and splash features
- Food and drink — multiple restaurants and bars inside the park
- Sun loungers — available throughout the park, some in shaded areas
- Lockers — available to rent at the entrance
A full day at Waterworld typically takes 6–8 hours to properly explore. Most visitors arrive when the park opens and leave mid-afternoon to avoid the late-day heat.
📍 Alex's Local Tips for Waterworld
- Arrive as early as possible — the park gets extremely busy in July and August by 11am. Gates open at 10am, aim to be there by 10:15.
- Bring water shoes — the ground between attractions gets very hot underfoot in summer.
- No outside food or drink allowed — Waterworld does not permit bringing in food, drinks or glass containers. There are restaurants and snack bars inside the park, so budget for meals on the day.
- Book lockers early — they go fast. There are lockers near the entrance for a small fee.
- Visit on a Tuesday or Wednesday — weekends and Mondays are the busiest days. Mid-week is noticeably quieter.
- Factor in the free 2nd day — if you're visiting in April, May, September or October, you get a completely free return visit. Don't forget to go to Customer Service before you leave.

Yes — it's consistently one of the top-rated experiences in Ayia Napa and worth a full day of your holiday. With 20+ rides, a wave pool, lazy river and dedicated kids' areas, there's enough to keep a family busy all day. The mythology theming is genuinely impressive compared to most water parks. About 10 minutes by car or taxi. The park is on Ayias Mavris Street. A taxi from the town centre costs around €8–€12. There are also hotel transfer services that run to Waterworld during the season — ask your hotel rep or message me and I can help arrange transport.
What age is Waterworld suitable for?
Waterworld has attractions for all ages from toddlers upward. There are dedicated children's areas with smaller slides and splash zones for young children, plus some of the most intense rides in Europe for thrill-seekers. Height restrictions apply to certain rides — most intense slides require a minimum height of 120cm.

To claim the deal you must visit Customer Service inside the park before you leave on your first day. They'll take your photo and issue a return voucher. Without the voucher, you cannot claim the discount.
