"A scooter is the most practical way to get around Ayia Napa day to day. Parking is easy, fuel is cheap and you can zip between beaches without waiting for taxis. The 50cc is fine for town and flat roads. If you want to go further out towards Cape Greco or Protaras, go for the 125cc. WhatsApp me your dates and I'll sort the right one."

💬 WhatsApp Alex, I'll Sort ItLicence Requirements
Cyprus law requires the correct licence category for each engine size. Here is what you need:
- Kymco Vitality 50cc requires an AM licence (moped licence). In most EU countries a full car licence (category B) obtained after 2013 automatically includes AM.
- Kymco Agility 125cc requires an A1 licence. In many EU countries a full car licence (category B) includes A1 if obtained after a certain date. Check with your local authority before you travel.
- Minimum age is 18 for both models.
- Your home country licence is accepted in Cyprus.
WhatsApp Alex before you book and he will check with you. It is better to confirm in advance than to find out at pick-up.
Where to Ride in Ayia Napa
A scooter opens up the coastline around Ayia Napa. Scooters are not permitted on highways, so all riding is within the Famagusta district. Here are the best routes:
- Nissi Beach — 10 minutes west of town. Easy flat road, free parking right by the beach.
- Cape Greco — 15 minutes east. Coastal road through the national park, sea caves viewpoints, best scenery on the island. Take the 125cc.
- Konnos Bay — 20 minutes east past Cape Greco. Hidden cove, clear water, worth every kilometre.
- Fig Tree Bay, Protaras — 25 minutes along the coastal road. One of the best beaches in Europe.
- Ayia Napa Old Town and Harbour — Park up and explore the monastery, the harbour fish restaurants and the local market.
"Don't take the 50cc to Cape Greco if you're planning to go beyond the viewpoint. The road is fine but there are a couple of hills that will leave a 50cc struggling with two people on board. For Cape Greco and beyond, always go for the 125cc."
